John Corbett established the estate, which covered most of Haughmond Hill, in the late 1700's.
Sundorne Castle was originally a Georgian house, but John Corbett altered it, to look more
castle-like, the only part of the original house that remained was the staircase. The picture
to the right is Sundorne Castle as it looked after John Corbett's alterations.
