Description: Shrewsbury Castle has housed the Shropshire Regimental Museum since 1985, when it moved from Copthorne Barracks in Shrewsbury. In 1992, however, it was bombed by the IRA and much of the museum's collection was either badly damaged or destroyed. The Shropshire Regimental Museum took this as an opportunity to refurbish the entire castle and they re-opened in 1995 with better displays and better security measures.
