Badger Hall, Shifnal

Badger Hall, Shifnal

Date: 2003

Description: This watercolour of Badger Hall was painted by John Homes Smith in 1824. The hall had been remodelled and extended between 1779 and 1783 by James Wyatt for Sir Isaac Hawkins Browne. Unfortunately, the house was demolished in 1952 and all that now remains is Badger Dingle, a stream and valley landscape which was also designed in the 1780s and which was connected to the hall.
