Description: These stone-built cottages are typical of the buildings that make up the hamlet of Cheney Longville. The settlement is linear and runs alongside a small lane. To the south of this lane is a stream and each house has its own little bridge across it. Cheney Longville probably dates to the 1300s when Cheney Longville Castle was erected. This lies to to the west of the hamlet. (Photograph by Dr Paul Stamper).
