Description: Wattlesborough Hall is a Georgian farmhouse that was built at some point around 1711. The house was built onto the remains of Wattlesborough Castle and both were lived in as a single house until the late 19th century. The castle itself probably dates back to the late 13th century when it was built for Sir Robert Corbet as a fortified manor house. Within the ground surrounding the hall and castle are the remains of a moated enclosure and a fishpond, perhaps the remnants of the medieval castle's gardens and courts.
